A practical starter investment to provide coaches and young people with the basic equipment required to begin structured sports, life-skills and youth empowerment activities.
Our empowerment approach uses sport as an entry point to engage children and young people in structured activities, mentorship, life skills, wellbeing and positive community participation. Before pursuing larger programme funding, we propose beginning with a modest equipment package that allows coaches to start, practise, pilot and demonstrate the programme.
A lack of basic sports equipment can limit the number of young people who can participate and makes it difficult for coaches to deliver consistent, organised sessions.

The objective is not simply to acquire equipment. It is to create the practical conditions for coaches and young people to begin implementing the wider empowerment model.
Coaches can establish consistent, structured sports activities instead of relying on improvised equipment.
Additional balls, bibs and markers allow more young people to participate actively during each session.
Coaches gain the basic tools required to organise drills, small-sided games and progressive training activities.
Football, basketball and volleyball can provide different participation opportunities for young people.
Basic training and first-aid resources help coaches create a more organised and safety-conscious environment.
The pilot can generate participation records, activities, stories and results that support future funding proposals.
Equipment support will be directed toward the agreed starter package and used to strengthen regular youth sports and empowerment activities.
A contribution toward this starter equipment package can help transform an available playing space into a structured environment where young people can play, learn, connect and develop.
*Budget figures are indicative planning estimates and should be confirmed through supplier quotations before procurement. Equipment quantities may be adjusted according to available funding and programme priorities.
